Customer Accounts and Responsibilities

Account Creation and Use: Upon account creation, each customer will be provided with a US mailing address and a unique mailbox code for receiving packages. It is imperative to accurately enter the complete mailing address to avoid misdelivery. Any incorrect address may incur a correction fee.

Package Handling and Storage:
- Shippy Xpress transports packages from our Florida warehouse to Jamaica twice per week.
- Customers are advised to upload invoices or create pre-alerts promptly to facilitate timely processing.
- Delivery within Jamaica typically occurs on the same day or within 3 business days post customs clearance.
- Proper packaging is crucial to prevent damage; Shippy Xpress assumes liability only for damage or loss occurring while the package is in our possession.

Package Pricing and Charges:
- Packages are priced based on weight and/or the declared value of contents upon arrival in Jamaica.
- Rate estimates can be obtained using our rate sheet and calculator on the website.
- We strive to offer competitive rates, exceptional customer service, and special promotions for frequent users.
Payment and Collection Policies

Outstanding Balances: If a customer has an outstanding balance with Shippy Xpress for more than 60 days, any new package on the portal may be auctioned without the customer’s consent to cover fees owed to the company. It is crucial for customers to promptly address outstanding balances or communicate any challenges preventing payment to avoid potential auctioning of their packages. We prioritize transparency and aim to resolve financial matters in a fair and efficient manner to uphold our commitment to all our clients.

Holding Fees and Auctioning:
- Customers without outstanding balances but who fail to collect packages will be charged a holding fee of $100 JMD per day after 30 days.
- If packages remain uncollected for 60 days, they may be auctioned without the customer’s consent to compensate for freight charges incurred. Customers are urged to collect their packages promptly to avoid potential auctioning. We prioritize efficient operations and fair practices to ensure smooth logistics management for all our clients.
